11-Day Lombok Halal-friendly Trip: Culture & Nature

11 days from £1269 per person, excluding flights

A private trip to Indonesia’s Muslim-friendly island of Lombok

This journey is all about Indonesia’s Muslim-friendly island of Lombok. A quieter, more Muslim-friendly island that offers a deeper sense of calm, culture and connection than Bali.

Roughly 22 miles east of Bali, Lombok is where mosques shape the soundscape, local life feels authentic, and nature takes centre stage.

You begin with a short stay in Bali to rest after your flight and ease into island life, before crossing to Lombok where most of your time is spent.

Here, days unfold between private pool living, village walks, waterfalls, island hopping and moments of beachfront stillness.

The journey ends back in Bali for a smooth departure, leaving you with a complete and well-balanced experience that flows naturally from start to finish.

Halal-friendly Lombok Holiday: FAQs

Yes, Lombok is one of the most Muslim-friendly destinations in Indonesia. The majority of the local population is Muslim, halal food is everywhere, and it’s nicknames the Island of a Thousand Mosques.

Daily life, culture and atmosphere feel comfortable and familiar for Muslim travellers, making Lombok a popular alternative to Bali for those seeking a more faith-aligned experience.

Lombok is generally more Muslim-friendly than Bali, as Bali is predominantly Hindu while Lombok has a strong Islamic identity.

For a relaxed and well-rounded experience, 6 to 8 days in Lombok is ideal. This allows time to enjoy the beaches, explore villages and nature, and still have free days to slow down.

Shorter stays suit travellers who only want a brief escape, while longer stays are better if you want to perhaps hike Mount Rinjani.

The cost of this 11-day trip starts at £1269 per person (excl. international), based on low season travel for 2 adults sharing a room.

Sure! This holiday is fully customisable to suite you. You can change the hotels, number of nights, activities, etc.
